Detailed Case Study
The challenge
MetaVirus Games was a Web3 pet RPG combining play-to-earn mechanics, NFTs, and decentralized ownership. The key challenge was making the project understandable and credible to a global gaming and Web3 audience while growing an active community around it.
My role
As Head of Marketing, I led community growth and partnership initiatives, working on visibility, engagement, KOL activity, and ecosystem relationships.
Approach
- Created community engagement initiatives that gave members reasons to participate consistently.
- Planned community events and KOL campaigns to improve brand visibility.
- Developed and managed international partnerships within the blockchain gaming sector.
- Aligned growth activity with fundraising and strategic collaboration opportunities.
Outcome
The work secured $2M in fundraising through collaborations with 40+ strategic partners and drove 200% community growth, reaching more than 100,000 active members.
What I learned
In early-stage Web3 projects, community is not a distribution channel alone. It is a trust layer. The strongest campaigns made people feel informed, included, and connected to the project’s direction.
